Well… he was that kind of man

Yesterday I learned about some of the famous actions of Norman Cota.  As on of the most valuable targets to hit that day, he walked along the beach rallying troops.  A famous saying of his was addressed to his troops:  “Gentlemen, we are being killed on the beaches. Let us go inland and be killed.” He survived operation overlord and he kept fighting till the war in Europe was been won.   To me he is one of the bravest officers throughout the war.
